There is no better way to start the New Year than by reflecting on all those things you wish you could have done better.
Now, while I think I pulled off 2011 pretty darn well if I do say so myself (boyfriend, check; good grades, check; turning 21, check; job, check; money in da bank, check!), I did feel the need to stick my nose into other people's business to see what they hope to achieve for the bright, promising New Year. (That is, if we all live to see the end of 2012... see "Apocalypse, Schmocalypse" for details.)
I also checked in with a UH Maui College instructor and the always supportive Mayor Alan Arakawa to investigate what their hopes and dreams (for 2012) are. Something I gleamed from my fellow students is to keep your resolutions simple and achievable (other than Mr. Hal Staples, who must be applying for sainthood or something) but that doesn't mean they can't be hopeful. UH Maui College students are fighters, and I know you can stick with that resolution to pass Math 82!
My resolution, you ask? To wield a piping bag like Martha Stewart.
I strive high, I know.
